
DFTW Internship
Opportunity
Interns will work closely with DFTW, WME, brand partners and sponsors to execute the 4th Annual Anthony Edwards basketball camp and other opportunities hosted in the Atlanta area. Interns will gain insight into the inner workings of event operations and strategically engaging internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event execution.
THE WORK
● Assist event staff with pre- and post-event setup and breakdown
● Assist event staff with day of preparation and execution
● Work in conjunction with all internal stakeholders including facility operations, check-in, guest services
● Assist event staff in capturing content for all vendors and sponsors
● Assist staff with event related activations and promotions
● Work closely with event staff to insure operational fulfillment of corporate partner contracts and operational support of volunteer activities
● Work with event staff to execute product logistics plan including loading and unloading of product
● Other related duties/projects as reasonably assigned
● Help with all DFTW events in ATL area for the Fall season
● Understand detailed event pre-planning as well as post-event debriefing
● Learn general day-to-day operations of the facility department
● Complete project at the end of the year
QUALIFICATIONS
● Pursuing a bachelor’s Degree in a related field
● Interest in the sports industry as a long-term career
● A passion for and expertise in sports and entertainment industry
● Polished communication skills, both written and oral
● Ability to work in a team setting
● Confident ability to solve problems, demonstrate initiative, and present a proactive work ethic
● Extreme organization, multi-tasking ability, and commitment to deadlines
● Mature business sense, professional presentation, and ability to work alongside clients daily
● Ability to lift 60 lbs.
● Flexibility and willingness to travel domestically and work weekends or holidays as needed. Anticipated travel level: Low (0-15%)
